Flight to Seville with a stopover in Frankfurt and transfer to the port. Embarkation on board the MS Belle de Cadix. Introduction of the crew and welcome cocktail. Evening at leisure.

SEVILLA – Córdoba – SEVILLA

Excursion included: visit to Córdoba and its mosque-cathedral. Departure by coach from Seville for the excursion to Córdoba (journey time 2 hours there and 2 hours back). Guided tour of the city. Lunch in a restaurant. Córdoba, once the capital of the emirs and caliphs, lies on the north bank of the Guadalquivir and is a living example of the different cultures that have found expression here. A successful harmony between Muslims, Jews and Catholics has shaped the city with its incomparable architectural wealth. The magnificent Mezquita (mosque-cathedral) is undoubtedly the symbol of this past splendor. Free time for lunch. Return on board to Seville.

SEVILLE – CADIX

Seville is an important city in Spanish history, where Christian and Muslim cultures lived an inspiring coexistence. The Andalusian capital exudes joy and vibrancy in every street and square of its old town. The heart of Andalusia inherits numerous architectural jewels from its rich past. A guided tour is included in the morning: Seville on foot. Discover this beautiful city and its rich Arab past. The Andalusian capital is home to an invaluable treasure trove of monuments that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Departure in the early afternoon for the boat trip to Cádiz. You will sail along the Doñana National Park, classified as a “Biosphere Reserve” by UNESCO. It stretches along the right bank of the Guadalquivir as far as its estuary. Located between Europe and Africa, it is the most important wetland area in Europe and attracts several million migratory birds. Arrival in Cádiz in the evening. Discover Cádiz “by night” with the entertainment team.

CADIZ – EL PUERTO DE SANTA MARIA

In the morning: visit to the Alcázar and the cathedral of Jerez. Departure by coach to Jerez. Located in the heart of Andalusia, the city of Jerez is famous for its sherry, Andalusian horses and flamenco. You can discover the most important sights on a city tour. You will then visit the Alcázar, a former fortified palace from the 9th century, which bears witness to the city’s Muslim heritage. Its beautifully restored outbuildings house the Christianized mosque dedicated to Santa María la Real, the Arab baths, the oil mill and the peaceful gardens. Finally, visit the majestic cathedral,

an architectural masterpiece that combines Gothic, Baroque and neoclassical styles. It was built on the remains of a former mosque and is famous for its impressive altarpiece and magnificent chapels. Don’t miss climbing the stairs of the tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. Return on board.

In the afternoon: including a visit to Cádiz. Departure on foot to the historic center of Cádiz. Situated at the tip of a headland, Cádiz stretches out in the heart of a coastal landscape with lagoons, beaches and salt marshes. Once coveted by the Phoenicians, Greeks and other peoples, the white city has retained the nostalgic charm of a lively historic center over the centuries. The winding alleyways of the medieval quarter and the orderly streets of the baroque part give the city an undeniable charm.

Flamenco show on board. Flamenco (Cante Flamenco) is an art form created by the gypsy and Andalusian people and is based on a folklore that has emerged from the different cultures that have developed in Spain over the centuries. Immerse yourself in the greatest Spanish tradition. At night, drive to El Puerto de Santa Maria.

EL PUERTO DE SANTA MARIA – ISLA MINIMA

In the morning: Including visit to a bodega and wine tasting. Departure on foot accompanied by the entertainment team to the bodega. Tasting of 3 wines with tapas. Among the many traditions, wine has always had an important place in Andalusian culture. The exceptional climatic conditions allow the production of wines with the Jerez-Xérès-Sherry designation of origin.

Afternoon: Boat trip to Isla Minima. Evening: Included visit to a typical Andalusian hacienda on Isla Minima, located on the banks of the Guadalquivir. The hacienda was originally a ranch for bullfights. In the early 1940s, the Escobar family acquired most of the estate and founded the Finca de Isla Minima there. Thanks to the quality of the pastures, it was the ideal place for breeding bulls and Carthusian horses. The owners turned it into a model farm. Return to the boat after the show. Departure of the boat for Seville. Gala evening.

SEVILLE – GRANADA – SEVILLE

In the morning: visit to Seville Cathedral and the palace of the Countess of Lebrija. Guided tour of the cathedral, which is still one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world. It was built on the remains of the former mosque and became the church of Santa María and the city’s cathedral at the beginning of the Christian era. However, its minaret was preserved and later became the famous Giralda, which we know today and which offers a magnificent view over the Andalusian capital. Afterwards, visit the palace of Countess Lebrija. This magnificent building from the early 20th century is a beautiful example of Andalusian historical architecture and is famous for its sumptuous interior, which combines elements of the Neo-Mudejar, Gothic and Baroque styles, as well as for its remarkable art collection, which includes Spanish works of art and Roman antiquities. It is also known for its impressive courtyard, adorned with mosaics, colorful ceramics and lush gardens, creating a tranquil and elegant atmosphere. Formerly the residence of the Countess of Lebrija, this fascinating place offers a unique insight into the history and sophistication of Andalusian nobility.

Optional excursion: day trip to Granada (only if booked in advance before departure, travel time 3 hours there and 3 hours back). Departure by coach to Granada. You will visit the Alhambra, the Generalife and the old town. Granada is situated on three hills, against the backdrop of the towering, snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and presents you with its most beautiful treasure, the Alhambra, as soon as you arrive. The last city to be reconquered by the Catholic Monarchs in the 15th century, Granada will transport you to an oriental atmosphere. Its gastronomy, crafts and architecture are characterized by its glorious past. Return journey by coach to Seville.

SEVILLA

In the morning: excursion to the park of Christopher Columbus’ caravels. Departure for a guided tour of the Franciscan monastery in Gothic-Mudejar style, which was built between the 14th and 15th centuries. Christopher Columbus stayed here when he was planning his departure for the New World. A fresco by Daniel Vázquez Díaz from 1930 illustrates the seafarer’s epic and commemorates his historical role. Over the centuries, new buildings were added to the monastery. Then continue to the Park of the Caravels in Huelva, from where the great explorer set sail on August 3, 1492. The park is home to faithful replicas of the Pinta, the Niña and the Santa Maria, the three ships of Christopher Columbus’ expedition. Return to Seville. Free afternoon in Seville. Take the opportunity to discover this beautiful city at your own pace. Visit Maria Louisa Park to cool off a little or the historic center to enjoy the city’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
