Must-See and Do
La Petite France
The “Petite France” tanners’ quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the most picturesque part of Strasbourg’s old town and a must-see for every visitor. Often referred to as a little Venice, it is easy to explore while admiring the beautiful half-timbered facades along the banks. Proud of its status as the Christmas capital, Strasbourg also hosts a Christmas store here all year round.
Strasbourg Cathedral
Strasbourg Cathedral, like the “Kammerzell House” at the foot of the building, is an unmissable cultural heritage site and architectural masterpiece of the city of Strasbourg. The most visited cathedral in France took three centuries to build and completed what Victor Hugo described as a “marvel of the gigantic and the subtle”.
Orangery Park
Of all the many green spaces in the city, it is Strasbourg’s most popular park, a paradise for walkers with its flowering meadows and shady paths. The artificial lake and waterfall blend perfectly into the idyllic atmosphere of the 26-hectare park.
