The Morne Brabant region is one of the most famous areas of Mauritius, with its iconic mountain (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the famous ‘underwater waterfalls’ on its southern flank – an impressive optical illusion created by sand and mud washed into the depths by the ocean currents.
