Transfer to the airport and flight via Santiago to Fogo. The island is characterized by black beaches, caves, basalt fields and fertile land in the interior. Transfer to São Filipe – the picturesque colonial town impresses with its colorful mansions and sweeping views of the sea. Guided tour of the town in the afternoon.

Drive to the impressive crater landscape of the Chã das Caldeiras at an altitude of around 1,700 m. Hike to the “little Pico”, which was last active in 2014. This geological discovery tour offers spectacular views and takes you through a lava landscape of unique beauty. Overnight stay in a lodge in the middle of the caldeira. In the evening, wine tasting with the famous Fogo wine.

You set off early in the morning to climb the highest mountain in Cape Verde (2,829 m). The challenging hike through ash fields and past fumaroles is rewarded with breathtaking panoramas. The descent through the black volcanic rock is an unforgettable experience. Return to São Filipe.

Flight to Santiago. Transfer to Calabaceira and start of the hike through the valley of Ribeira Grande to the historic town of Cidade Velha (UNESCO World Heritage Site). On the way you will come across sugar cane plantations, coconut palms and grogue distilleries. Lunch with a view of the sea.

Hike: approx. 2-3 hours, ↑↓120 m altitude

Visit to the weekly market in Assomada. Then hike through the green Serra Malagueta National Park down into the valley of Principal. In the afternoon, swim in Tarrafal and return to Praia.

Hike: approx. 3 hours, ↑↓700 m altitude

Transfer to the airport and flight to Boa Vista. Transfer to accommodation. Free time and dinner in Sal Rei.

Transfer to the airport and return flight with Luxair at 1.30 pm. Arrival at 21.30 hrs.
